Rafael González Albaladejo

I am Associated Professor of Botany interested in the use of molecular markers and population genetics to answer questions concerning the evolution, ecology and conservation of plant species. Most of my research is focused on two main topics; natural hybridization at the homoploid level as a key evolutionary force in the genus Phlomis (Lamiaceae), and the genetic consequences of habitat fragmentation in Mediterranean plant species.

I am a member of the EVOCA research group (Andalusian research group RNM210) which is devoted to the study of the ecology, evolution and conservation of Mediterranean forests.
