• 1990 - 1995: Undergradute studies of physics at the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain).

• 1996 - Jan. 2000: Ph.D. studies at the Laboratorio de Astrofísica Espacial y Física Fundamental (LAEFF), Madrid (Spain).

• Feb. 2000 - Mar. 2002: postdoctoral contract at the former group of Statistical Physics of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich (Germany) (now included in the Arnold Sommerfeld Center for Theoretical Physics).

• Mar. 2002 - Jun. 2004: postdoctoral contract at the group of Theory of inhomogeneous condensed matter in the Max-Planck-Institut für Metallforschung, Stuttgart (Germany).

• Since Jun. 2004: research associate in the group of Statistical Mechanics at the Department of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear Physics of the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain).

Other merits

• 1990: Winner of the national round of the XXI International Physics Olimpiad.

• 1995: One-year grant Introducción a la Investigación to work under supervision of Prof. J. J. Brey, Univ. Sevilla.

• 1996: Winner of the prizes San Alberto Magno, Real Maestranza de Caballería and Excelentísimo Ayuntamiento de Sevilla for the 1995 best graduation marks of the Faculty of Physics, Univ. Sevilla.

• 1996-2000: Four-year grant Formación de Personal Universitario to pursue Ph.D. studies under supervision of Prof. J. Pérez Mercader, Instituto de Matemáticas y Física Fundamental (CSIC, Madrid).

• 2002: Two-year Marie Curie Fellowship of the European Union, voluntary renouncement.

• 2004: Five-year contract ``Retorno de Investigadores'' sponsored by Junta de Andalucía to work in the Dept. of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear Physics, Univ. Sevilla.

• 2007: Positive I3 evaluation by the Spanish Government.

• 2007: Winner of the prize ``Investigadores Jóvenes'' by the Real Academia Sevillana de Ciencias.

• 2008: Positive evaluation for ``Profesor Titular'' in Spanish Universities.
