Tutorials - Academic Year 2011/2012
Notice board
-

Tutorials are an aditional tool available to students in their university trainning. Their use may help to understand and consolidate the lectured knowledge in theoretic and laboratory classes. In order to take advantage of this tool students must assimilate the basic concepts from the classes previously and ask the lecturer specific doubts regarding the subject.

There are 6 hours in a week during the classes time. A specific timetable will be published in this section and on my office's door when new academic year begins. Generally the tutorials will be served in my office. Nevertheless, if a student can't come to my office, he/she will be able to ask specific doubts via email.

Please, for afternoon tutorials contact by email or telephone.

Since last minute meetings or unforeseen events may happen the published timetable may change. However, as long as it's possible it will be notified in good time not only in this section, but also on my office's door.

Final Degree Project

At the moment I don't aim any final degree project. Nevertheless if you have any idea to put into practice, ask me for a meeting by phone or email.

Take into a count that the execution of the final degree project implies:
- the student has to spend a dedication which should be equivalent to the amount of hours described by the appropiate study program,
- when the student accepts the project, he/she undertakes to finish it and elaborate the documentation by following the tutor's guidelines,
- the teacher undertakes to track the project.

Research

Since my early stages in researching in 1999, I have reseached and worked in data networks including communications protocols and security issues related to data networks. Nevertheless, I've also researched in projects related to expert systems and signal processing to analyze multimedia data.

I defended my PhD called "Multimedia applications in power systems telecontrol" in June 2005. This work awaked in myself interests regarding to mechanisms of quality of service in data networks to distribute multimedia data.

At the present, after a postdoctoral stay in the Southampton University (UK), I'm addressing my research job to apply multiagent systems to improve the quality of service in data networks.
